A data analyst is a person whose job it is to gather and analyse data in order to address a particular problem. The work entails spending a lot of time with data but also communicating conclusions. Each day, a number of data analysts perform the following tasks: Information gathering: Analysts typically do their own data collection. This could include market research, monitoring website visitor statistics for a company, or buying datasets from experts in data collection. Clean data: Raw data could have errors, duplicates, or outliers. Maintaining data quality in a worksheet or computer language is known as cleaning the data, and it helps ensure that your judgements are neither incorrect nor biassed.
